Life's too short
It's been a long time. So much has happened over the past year. (Most of which will be shared later...probably much later.) Time goes too quickly and in light of what some friends of mine are going thru...the loss of one of their children last night, I am vowing to enjoy the time I have with my children more. We are away from each other all day thru daycare or work - our homes away from home. It seems everything is done in such a rush. Between doing errands, housework, cooking, caring for the family and work, do you really get to enjoy your family? Or are we just going throught the motions to get things done. I want to enjoy my children. I want to enjoy life.

Flip Flops
If you like these flip flops...all you have to do to make your own is get a bag of water balloons and start tying them (double knot) around the flip flop straps in a random color pattern. CAUTION: it may take a while and your fingers may get sore from all of the tying but your daughters will love wearing them!

Dude Looks Like a Lady
So we are sitting at dinner and decide to play a game of Telephone while we wait for our orders to arrive. If you decide to get in the mood along with the 80s music the restaurant is playing and whisper "the Dude looks like a Lady" to your 9 year old daughter that doesn't know it is a song....you may want to rethink it. Especially when you realize that her sugar high just kicked in and manners flew out the window when she doesn't realize you are still playing the game and she blurts out loud "what dude looks like a lady?" "That dude is picking his nose." Then when she finally calms down (and you aren't laughing anymore...sorry, I couldn't help it...it was funny) Ok, it calmed down, then of course a guy would have to come in that you hoped she didn't notice looked kinda girly. Yep, you guessed it...she noticed and the giggling began all over again

Lord, Please let me live in a way that my kids can say that I am a hero.

Beautiful, Beautiful
Wow is this really my first post for 2010? A lot has been going on...really...I'm not hiding. Guess I have been hanging out more on Facebook and with the kiddos.
This song Beautiful, Beautiful by Francesca Battistelli is awesome! While we may be going through alot of things right now...moving in with family, working outside of the home now after being home with the kids for 6 years, Father-In-Law passed away, Mother-In-Law dealing with cancer, separation/divorce...things are still good. God is still in control. Sissy is doing well with her cardiology appts being changed to only every 2 years now and Little Man is growing ever so tall and keeping us hopping! We have a new nephew/cousin to hang out with (along with a new Aunt and girl cousin)! (We also get to hang out with some other favorite family members daily!) While I am glad that we don't see into the future because I really think the past few months would have scared me...I am thankful that God gives us the strength to get through and gives us the reason for hope. God is making my life Beautiful, Beautiful.
***tried to put the Beautiful, Beautiful video here...will try again...**** Sorry :(
